Fraiser Espresso Martini
Fraiser Espresso Martini
Fraiser Espresso Martini
A cold coffee flavoured cocktail enhanced by Fraiser with it’s almond and cinammon tones….. Smooth and delicious.
Ingredients
- 50ml Fraiser
- 1 Double espresso
- 1 Teaspoon of Caster sugar (adjust to personal preference)
- 3 Coffee beans
- 1 Orange peel
- Cubed Ice
Equipment
- Cocktail shaker
- Hawthorn strainer
- Fine strainer (optional)
- Martini glass (or similar around 8oz)
Method
1. Add all of the ingredients into the shaker. Starting with sugar and espresso. Use personal preference for the amount of sugar; 1-2 teaspoons should suffice depending on the bitterness of the coffee. Stir the sugar and espresso together first a few times so that the sugar dissolves.
2. If the espresso is warm then stir and leave a few moments to cool. If you shake with hot espresso then there is a good chance that hot air will expand the tin and the contents will explode over you, your clothes and whoever you are making the drink for.
3. Shake. With ice. Hard. If you are using suitably dense ice then the tin should frost on the outside. 6-8 seconds is a good rule of thumb.
4. Strain into martini glass (or similar). You can use a fine strainer here if you wish: this will remove any shards of ice and give the coffee crema you have created a finer look and mouthfeel.
5. Zest orange peel over the drink and around the glass. Garnish with 3 coffee beans to represent: Health, Wealth and Happiness.
6. Enjoy.
