Fraiser Rob Roy
Fraiser Rob Roy
Fraiser Rob Roy
A cocktail to evoke historical Scotland. Highland whisky with Fraiser, a touch of bitters and sweet vermouth. Two glasses and you will be playing the bagpipes!
Ingredients
- 1 part Fraiser
- 1 part Scotch Whisky (preferably Highland)
- 2 parts Sweet Vermouth
- 3 dots of Cocktail bitters (your preference, angostura is fine)
- Cubed ice
- 1 Orange peel
If you are using a standard sized martini glass (around 8oz) then work to: 1 part = 30ml.
Equipment
- Cocktail tin or mixing glass (this drink is stirred)
- Hawthorn strainer
- Bar spoon (or stirring implement)
- Martini glass (or similar, around 8oz)
Method
1. Add all ingredients to mixing glass or tin.
2. Add cubed ice and stir. Don’t over dilute – this drink is best chilled but not sub-zero. 30 – 40 times for this drink is a good rule of thumbs (so 30 – 40 stirs)
3. Strain into martini glass
4. Zest orange over the drink and around the glass.
5. Be Debonair.
